Hermes Paris scarf “Hommage a l'Explorateur Sir Ernest Shackleton”. Made in France.
Fleshy, heavy silk from Lyon, hand-rolled and sewn edges. Design "Hommage a l'Expolorateur Sir Ernest Shackleton", color version with pink edging. The scarf represents the discovery of Antarctica based on a painting by Zoe Pauwels. The manufacturer's label is still sewn on.
The scarf is in good condition. The silk is shiny and strong and the colors are vivid, but there are a few discolorations and spots, especially at the edge (seen in the photos).
